Fellow Canadian Magic: the Gathering Fans,
The first 12 months of the new F2F Tour is now completed with a total of twenty Tour Stops, six epic Tour Weekends and one Command Fest under our belt. We’ve learned a lot in this first year, and we wanted to take a moment to share exciting updates regarding our F2F Tour.
Attendance in the first half of 2023 has continued to grow. This growth, coupled with your feedback, has given us the opportunity to make exciting program and schedule changes. We will be making the following modifications for 2024, beginning with the Round 5 Regional Championships.
In 2024, the F2F Tour will have:
- 30+ Tour Stops. Bringing more MTG to our Communities. (Up from 22).
- 3 or more Commander-focused F2F Tour Weekends.
- 3 Regional Championship-focused F2F Tour Weekends.
Details for the new Tour Weekend Structures:
- There will be one Regional Championship per Round, featuring a single, two day event granting 8 Pro Tour Invites and 2 World Championship spots.
- World Championship invites and cash prizes at the Regional Champions will be doubled to two invites and $40,000 USD.
- Commander focused Tour Weekends will also include large events for a variety of fan favourite formats.
- We are working with Wizards of the Coast to bring the best to all Tour Weekends, Commander Weekends included. Details to come.

Les 12 premiers mois du nouveau F2F Tour sont maintenant terminés après six Tour Weekends épiques, 20 Tour Stops et un Command Fest à notre actif. Nous avons beaucoup appris au cours de cette première année, et nous voulions prendre un moment pour partager avec vous quelques mises à jour à venir concernant notre F2F Tour.
La fréquentation n’a cessé d’augmenter lors du premier semestre 2023. Cette croissance, couplée à vos commentaires, nous a donné l’occasion d’apporter des changements intéressants au programme et à l’horaire. Nous appliquerons les modifications suivantes en 2024 lors du cinquième round de Championnats Régionaux.
En 2024, le F2F Tour inclura :
- 30+ Tour Stops, pour se rapprocher davantage de nos communautés (contre 22 auparavant).
- 3 ou plus F2F Tour Weekends axés sur le Commander.
- 3 ou plus F2F Tour Weekends axés sur les Championnats Régionaux.
Détails sur la nouvelle structure des Tour Weekends :
- Il y aura un Championnat Régional par round, avec un événement unique de deux jours qui permettra d’obtenir 8 invitations pour le Pro Tour ainsi que 2 places pour le Championnat du Monde.
- Le nombre d’invitations au Championnat du Monde et les récompenses en espèces aux Championnats Régionaux seront doublées, passant ainsi à deux invitations et 40 000 USD.
- Les Tour Weekends axés sur le Commander comprendront également des événements de grande envergure pour toute une variété de formats, y compris vos formats préférés.
- Nous travaillons avec Wizards of the Coast pour améliorer davantage nos Tour Weekends, y compris les Commander Weekends. Détails à venir.
