Kaspar So is the MDSS Toronto 2014 Champion!

“You don’t know who I am, but you will after I win this tournament.”
– Kaspar So

Words uttered openly right before the beginning of the finals by the eventual champion to KYT who was the coverage writer for the event. In the exciting finals match, Kaspar So vanquished the hot new scary combo deck in Jeskai Ascendacy Combo piloted by Tyler Longo.

Over 130 players, including some of the best players in the province, came down to play one of the first Modern tournaments with Khans of Tarkir legal and the top 8 decklists contained a few of the new cards. In the end, the hilarious Kaspar So took home the MDSS trophy with UWR Control. He mentioned that he took beating the Jeskai Ascendancy Combo deck seriously after losing to it 20 times in a row during testing. We hope to see more from this new star!
